ILLNESSES: - Exclusion Table.

Regulations state that a child must be excluded from school if they have


Chicken Pox - until fully recovered and at least 1 week after first eruption.

Conjunctivitis - until discharge from eyes has ceased.

Diphtheria - until they have a medical certificate of recovery.

Hepatitis - until they have a medical certificate of recovery.

Head Lice - has been provided by the parents.

Impetigo - until sores have fully healed or until treated and covered.

Measles - for five days from the appearance of the rash or a medical certificate.

Mumps - until fully recovered.

Ringworm - until appropriate treatment has commenced.

Rubella - until fully recovered or at least 5 days after the onset of the rash.

Scarlet Fever - until they have a medical certificate of recovery.

School Sores - (See Impetigo)

Whooping Cough - until they have a medical certificate of recovery or for 2 weeks.



Slapped Cheek Disease     No exclusion period required
